Mohammad Mehdi Goorangi- born in June 1975 in Shiraz .
History
He learned to play the piano and the dulcimer( the santoor) at a young age. During which he gained his first experience by composing songs for the educational affairs assossiation.
He had the honor of being instructed by some of the greatest musicians such as: the deceased professor Mohammad-Taghi Masoodie, Dr. Ali-Reza Mashayekhi, Dr. Shahin Farhat, Sharif Lotif, Majid Kiani, the deceased Mohammad-Ali haddadian, Mohammad Esmaili, Masood Shenasa, Dr. Amir-Ashraf Arianpoor and Mohammad-Reza Darvishi while studying at the university. In 1995 he started working for the IRIB(the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting),
composing and arranging melodies and songs.In 1996 he became a member of the young composers of the IRIB organization. He also had the privilege of composing music for short films while he was a student. Since then he has composed and arranged many songs, melodies orchestral pieces and sound tracks. He spends most of his time lecturing at the university and composing sound tracks for movies and T.V serials.
Professional experiences and qualifications
- - A member of the Iranian orchestra of modern music which was conducted by Ali-Reza Mashayekhi from 1996 to 1998.
- A member of the young composers of the IRIB organization from 1996 to 1998.
- An instructor of the piano, the dulcimer(the santoor) and the basics of classical music.
- A researcher in the field of analyzing the contents of the melodies which are broadcasted by the IRIB.
- Assembled the thesis of the relationships among the music and poems of Iran .
- A researcher and composer in the "house of music "(khaneye mooseghi) organization.
- Organized a band and performed a concert based on the film called "The traveler from India " (mosaferi az hend) in 2003.
- Edited the book called "The creative power of music" (khalaghiate mooseghi) for the university entrance exam in 2003.
- Instructs the basics of classical music and film music, at the university since 2005 .
